SPOT OPENS NEW, LARGER OFFICE IN CHARLOTTE WITH PLANS TO HIRE 50 NEW EMPLOYEES

April 16, 2018

Spot Freight, Inc. (Spot), is excited to announce the opening of its new, larger office in Charlotte’s South End. Spot, one of the fastest growing logistics companies in North America, has taken over the entire second floor of the Textile Mill Supply Company Building at 1300 S. Mint Street.

Spot was founded in Indianapolis, Indiana in 2009. After experiencing rapid growth, Spot opened its second office in Charlotte three years ago on S. Church Street. At 8,424 square feet, the new office location is nearly seven times larger than its original office.

“We have found the right people in Charlotte, and we’re looking forward to expanding our presence at local universities and within the city as a whole,” says Andrew Elsener, President & Co-Founder of Spot.

Spot is on track to add around 50 positions to its current 10-person team by the end of the year. Ultimately, said Elsener, the company has plans to create up to 300 jobs across both locations by 2023. These positions are primarily in account management and sales.
